Commentary: Well, half
the year is over and I haven’t seen that many movies. Of course this year has been a bit different
than others. The movies I have seen
haven’t been excellent, like the last couple years it seems, and the ones I listed
as the best so far weren’t even entirely spectacular, but I did like them
enough to include them on the list. I
only listed 5 for each given that the year is half over and 5 is half of the
normal 10 for the entire year (even though my list for last year was a bit
different). I listed both sets
alphabetically as I’m not entirely sure where any would stand on a best to
worst ranking, although I think The
Grudge remake (the second one!) would surely be the worst so far. I listed some superlatives (as you can see)
as well, because why not? I hope the
rest of the year somehow gets better with movies, but I’m not counting on it…7/1/2020
